Guide to Apply Work Permit(Endorsement) for Malaysian Spouse Visa (LTSVP)

INFORMATION:

- The endorsement is given free of charge
- The endorsement entitles the holder to work in any legal profession

- The application for the endorsement can be made at Visa, Pass immigration office

- The LTSVP allows foreign national to work in Malaysia instead of getting work Permit

- The approval is in form of endorsement on the passport

- The Endorsement is given in 3 working days

ELIGIBILITY:

- The foreign spouse must have a valid 12 Month Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP)

- The Foreign & Malaysian spouse must be present at the immigration when applying

- Stamped copy(RM10) of offer letter from LHDN

HOW TO APPLY:

1. Please fill up page 2,3 and attach all documents as per page 1

2. Go to your nearest immigration (Applicant & Malaysian Spouse) and get the number from one of the counter to be called later to submit the documents.

For Jalan Duta Branch: It is Counter 24

3. Once your number is called, the officer will check and take your forms.
You will then be asked to wait again for officer to verify all documents are complete and correct.

4. After about 30 minutes to 1 hour you will be called by the officer to give you confirmation print will be asked to return with confirmation slip & passport after three (3) working days. Passport is returned to the foreign spouse.

5. On Collection day either Malaysian Spouse or Applicant can go for getting the work endorsement.

6. Go to the number counter, show them confirmation slip and passport. Both the slip and passport will be taken and you will be issued a number.

7. The number will be called again in 30-60 minutes to collect the stamped passport which says you are allowed to work with the company as per offer letter, in-case you change company you have to redo step 1-6.
